Nevada Rural Housing Authority’s Salvador Martinez Receives Nevada Housing Division Award for Going Above and Beyond in Weatherization
Carson City, Nev. – Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) Weatherization Inspector Salvador “Sonny” Martinez was presented the “Going Above and Beyond Award” by the Nevada Housing Division for his excellence in Weatherization. NRHA’s Weatherization Assistance Program helps reduce the cost of utilities and improve energy conservation for low-income Nevadans.
“I didn’t expect anything like it,” Martinez said. “I feel like I’m just doing my job. I’m passionate about what I do because I get to help people with their household needs and I’m happy to go the extra mile.”
Martinez holds a Quality Control Inspector designation, which acknowledges home performance professionals who have demonstrated their experience and proficiency in the home performance industry. It is built on internationally applicable standards of practice, knowledge, and ethics to differentiate home performance professionals who have taken the steps necessary to become certified. With this designation, Martinez has also been able to offer his services to other weatherization and home repair agencies in the state.
Martinez joined NRHA in July when it acquired his territory as part of its Weatherization Assistance Program. He provides service in the North Las Vegas and Northern Rural Clark County areas.Categories: award-winning Uncategorized
