Carson City, Nev. (June 29, 2020) – Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) announced Grant Brewer as its new inspection supervisor for NRHA’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, also known as Section 8) program. Brewer has been with NRHA for nearly four years and previously served as a business development specialist for NRHA’s Home At Last homeownership program.
In his new role, Brewer will be responsible for inspecting all units using a Housing Choice Voucher administered by NRHA. Inspections ensure units meet the Housing Quality Standards established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
“I’m thrilled to be able to take the skills I’ve honed in the homeownership space and apply them to my new role while continuing to help fulfill the mission of NRHA,” Brewer said. “I look forward to working and building relationships with landlords and tenants to ensure safe and sanitary housing opportunities for rural Nevadans.”
“Grant’s ability to build strong relationships with our partners has helped the Home At Last program reach thousands of Nevada families over the past four years, and we thank him for his great work,” NRHA Homeownership Programs Director Diane Arvizo said. “His experience brings a perfect dynamic to our agency’s rental services and it’s exciting to watch him grow inside our agency.”
