Nevada Rural Housing Authority Hires Kevin Hickey as Home At Last™ Business Development Specialist

Carson City, Nev.  – Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) announced Kevin Hickey as the Business Development Specialist for NRHA’s Home At Last™ program. Hickey is responsible for fostering Home At Last™ business partnerships and serving as an informational resource for potential homeowners. Since 2006, the homeownership program has implemented affordable housing initiatives, allowing low- to moderate-income families to experience homeownership, often for the first time.

“Kevin’s ability to build strong relationships will continue to grow the Home At Last™ program, reaching thousands of Nevada families,” NRHA Homeownership Programs Director Diane Arvizo said. “His experience brings a perfect dynamic to our program and it’s exciting to watch him grow inside our agency.”

Hickey comes to Home At Last™ after a 25-year career in the airline industry as a brand ambassador and onboard leader for one of the largest airlines in the world, American Airlines. He also served on the Technology Flight Attendant Involvement Team, where he helped develop, test and roll out new technology.

“It was my goal to provide a transformational experience every time to ensure the best customer experience,” said Hickey. “This expertise will help me as I cultivate relationships with lenders, realtors and homebuyers to ensure the success of the program.”

Hickey holds a Bachelor of Science, in communications from East Carolina University. He is a volunteer for Cub Scout Pack 149 in Las Vegas as the Tiger Den Leader. Previously, Hickey served as a Champion in the Champion’s for Children program at United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for 15 years. A  In his spare time, Hickey enjoys camping with his wife and 7-year-old son, with two of his favorite spots being Cathedral Gorge State Park and Great Basin National Park. Hickey is a fifth-generation Nevadan, born and raised in the Carson Valley.
