Nevada Rural Housing Helps Bring Holiday Gifts and Cheer to Residents at Richards Crossing in Carson City

Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) is accepting holiday gift donations for the residents of the Richards Crossing apartment complex in Carson City. Richards Crossing is focused on serving veterans, seniors and homeless individuals in need of safe and affordable housing. NRHA has created an Amazon Wish List based on the residents’ needs. Anyone is welcome to visit the Amazon link below and purchase any of the available gifts, which will ship directly to the management at Richards Crossing for distribution to all of its residents:

“This campaign gives our residents a chance to be embraced in holiday cheer by their community,” said Danielle Erickson, Richards Crossing assistant property manager. “The residents of Richards Crossing deeply appreciate the gracious donations that provide them with essential items around the holiday season, such as gloves, hats and toiletries.”

At Richards Crossing, eight units are reserved for chronically homeless veterans and receive rental assistance from the U.S. Veterans Administration, while the other 31 units receive Section 8 project-based rental assistance. Since the property opened in 2017, it has maintained full occupancy. For more information about Richards Crossing, please visit NRHA’s Community Development Group website.
