Bridget Peterson

Bridget Peterson serves as the Human Resources Project Manager at Nevada Rural Housing (NRH), where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring that projects run smoothly behind the scenes. Bridget’s dedication to facilitating, coordinating, and accomplishing key projects enables her colleagues to focus on their mission of helping rural Nevadans secure affordable housing. 

Before joining NRH, Bridget’s career was marked by a diverse range of roles that highlight her commitment to service and leadership. She currently serves as an elected trustee for the Lyon County School Board and as an executive member of the Nevada Association of School Boards, where she has taken on numerous leadership responsibilities. Her experience also includes working as a substitute teacher, and she briefly contributed to the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services under a grant that promoted a Dementia Friendly Nevada. Earlier in her career, Bridget worked as a registered nurse in critical care, a role that fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a nurse.

Beyond her professional life, Bridget finds inspiration in the beauty of nature, particularly in the variety of plants, trees, and breathtaking sunsets. This love for nature influences her vision of an ideal home—a country-style house with a wraparound porch, nestled in a meadow in the foothills of the mountains, yet close enough to civilization. To Bridget, home is more than just a place; it’s a safe haven where her family can come together to learn, grow, work, and enjoy life.
